We have criss-crossed Asia, always marveling at the diversity of cultures and tantalizing cuisines, always captivated by the warm friendly people, and continually in awe of the beauty seen in both the natural and constructed environments. We are a small tour company dedicated to bringing you some of our experiences from places closest to our hearts—particularly in S.E. Asia. We pride ourselves in providing personal attention to our customers’ comfort and travel desires. Our small group tours proceed in a leisurely-paced manner, rather than a “different day-different city” pace, affording travelers more time to immerse oneself in a culture. Tourism is a big business in Asia. It is difficult to completely avoid being a tourist, especially when you are visiting a country for only a few weeks. Culture can be perceived, or it can be experienced. Jalan Jalan Asia attempts to take you beneath the surface by creating opportunities that let you truly experience the culture. Jalan Jalan believes in giving back to the communities we visit. Despite our cultural differences, we all live on planet Earth. Our actions create ripples, both locally and globally. With this in mind, we have researched many local non-profit organizations and businesses that are dedicated to protecting and improving the natural environment, preserving centuries-old cultural heritages, or improving the lives of the local people.
