Jalan Jalan Asia, LLC (JJA) is committed to protecting your privacy.  It is our top priority to ensure the privacy and security of the information you provide to us. JJA is the sole owner of the information it gathers on its website. We do not rent or sell any of the details that you provide to us in good faith. JJA will only share your information with outside parties in ways that are described in this privacy statement or if we are required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law or in connection with the collection of amounts you may owe to us, and/or to law enforcement authorities whenever we deem it appropriate or necessary. 1. What type of information is collected by JJA?
Certain personally identificable information, such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone numbers, will be collected when you:
    * book a tour through our website, or by mailing or faxing your filled booking form to our office;
    * request a catalog or further information about our tours;
    * ask a question.
When you book a tour through JJA, you are requested to provide the billing address of the credit card that is used to purchase your travel, and information about your passport. We will also collect credit card information, including card number, card type, cardholder name, and expiration date, in order to bill you for your tour. This information is used to process payment for your booking.

In addition, certain optional personal information pertaining to your gender, date of birth, travel preferences and dietary restrictions or preferences may be requested in order to provide you with the quality service you will experience on the tour.

When you submit your personally identifiable information on the website, by mail, fax, or telephone, you are giving your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

However, when you browse our website, no personally identifiable information is collected. Anonymous information is collected from every visitor to this site. Information collected in this way includes the IP address of the user accessing our site (i.e. the unique I.D. number of the user's computer), the type of browser and operating system used to access our site, how long the user accessed our site in any given session, and the date and time of access.

2. How the information collected is used by JJA?
Personally identificable information that you provided us will be used by JJA to:
    * book and process a tour you requested;
    * make travel arrangements, such as air ticket bookings, for a multi-country tour;
    * notify you about any important travel changes;
    * send you a catalog;
    * send additional information you requested;
    * answer a question you asked;
    * respond to your feedback or suggestions;
    * inform you about upcoming tours, special promotions, or changes in JJA or its policies;
    * send surveys about our services.

Optional personal information you provide will enable JJA to:
    * pair you with the traveling companion of your choice, or the appropriate same gender room partner;
    * do our best to make arrangements, when possible, for any special requests you may have.

Anonymous or non-personally identificable information we obtained through your visit to JJA’s website will be used to understand site user profiles so as to better design and develop future service offerings.

JJA does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share some of your personal information, such as your name, to our ground operators, hotels or service providers to facilitate the delivery of products or services.  We may also choose to disclose any information, including personally identifiable information, we deem necessary, in our sole discretion, to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. We may also exchange information, including personally identifiable information, with other companies and organizations for credit fraud protection and risk reduction.

3. With whom may information be shared?
JJA may share information you provided with authorized partners - including ground operators, hotels, and airlines. These partners and service providers need information about your profile, such as your names, contact information, sometimes passport number and its expiration date (for airline bookings) and your travel preferences. These companies use this information exclusively to deliver a service to JJA and do not have any independent right to share this information with any third party. JJA processes the purchase of your tour booking and request.  Therefore, your credit card information is not given to any other person or agent not in the direct employment of JJA.
In addition, JJA may share information you provided to these parties, and under these circumstances:
    * if JJA is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, JJA will notify you prior to the transfer of data to the new entity and disclose potential changes to data usage as governed by this privacy policy.
    * In response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

4. What security measures are taken to protect your personal information?
JJA is committed to protecting the information we receive from you. Personally identifiable information is stored on servers that are not publicly accessible. Our site encrypts your credit card number and other personal information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology to provide for the secure transmission of the information from your computer to our servers. For the protection of your credit card information, JJA utilizes a VeriSignTM secure site for accepting credit card information. JJA’s staff is trained to strictly follow this privacy policy. Further, personally identifiable information is only accessed by JJA’s employees on a "need to know" basis.

5. How can you correct any inaccuracies in the information collected about you?

6. Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data that enables us to track and target your preferences. Cookies contain anonymous information only and are never used to retrieve any information about your identity. As you visit our website, JJA uses cookies to facilitate features such as making a booking, tracking and personalizing preferences, or qualifying for discounts.
You can have your browser notify you of, or automatically reject, cookies. If you reject our cookies, you may still use our website, but you may be limited in the use of some of the features.

This site may contain links to other Web sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, which may differ from our policies. 8. Children
JJA does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from or about children under 13 except as permitted by law. If we discover we have received any information from a child under 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe JJA has any information from or about anyone under 13, please contact us at the address listed below.

9. Governing Law
This policy and the use of this Site are governed by Oregon law. If a dispute arises under this Policy we agree to first try to resolve it with the help of a mutually agreed-upon mediator in the following location: Portland, Oregon. Any costs and fees other than attorney fees associated with the mediation will be shared equally by each of us.

If it proves impossible to arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution through mediation, we agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration at the following location: Portland, Oregon, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitration may be entered in any court with jurisdiction to do so.

This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.

10. What if there are changes to this privacy policy?
JJA reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Information collected prior to the time any change is posted will be used according to the rules and laws that applied at the time the information was collected. If there are revisions or changes to this privacy statement, you will be notified by e-mail. If an e-mail address is unavailable, you will be notified by postal mail or fax.
